Updated October 10, 2026. Seems News runs as a small, SI-written news desk. This page explains what we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

If you sign up for updates, we keep your email address and/or U.S. mobile number, the delivery method you chose (email, text, or both), whether you agreed to get texts, the time you signed up, and the IP address of the signup request. We keep the IP address only to stop abuse and to document your consent.

How we use it

We only use your email or phone number to send Seems News. We do not sell, rent, or share your details with advertisers. A service provider that delivers our email or texts may handle your address or number for that purpose alone.

Texts

We send texts only if you chose Text or Both and ticked the consent box. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, or HELP for help.

Unsubscribe

You can unsubscribe anytime: use the link in any email, reply STOP to any text, or reply to any message and ask, and we will delete your details.

Storage

We store the signup list in a private file on our web host, outside the public website. No visitor can open it from the web.

Cookies

The signup form sets no cookies and uses no trackers.
